Emily Ledesma, Program Director
Emily was born in Cartagena, Colombia, and raised in Houston, TX. She received a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Emily has worked as a parent educator, therapeutic teacher, and program supervisor for nonprofits in Central Texas such as The Safe Alliance, Any Baby Can, and Communities in Schools. Emily continues to direct programs that provide services to vulnerable communities to deliver prevention services to eligible families, including referrals to partnered community organizations. She has specialized in working in early-childhood family programs and has created and executed social-emotional and developmentally appropriate lesson plans for groups of children with severe trauma and sensory needs.
Haley Ott, Program Associate and Facilitator
Haley is passionate about creating a community where anyone can explore all aspects of equity in their life. Over the years, she has been an activist in her community, hosting a walkout in 2018 and attending a conference for ACLU. Haley graduated from Texas Tech University with a BA in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. She believes that creating a community and listening to those around you can heal the disconnect that is seen in America. Haley is from Frisco, TX and lives in Austin, TX where she enjoys spending time with her cats, roller skating, and doing puzzles with her boyfriend Ethan.
